De plus, les algorithmes génétiques sont intrinsèquement parallèles, ce qui en fait des candidats idéaux pour les implémentations de calcul parallèle. En combinant la robustesse des algorithmes génétiques avec la puissance des ordinateurs parallèles, ce livre fournit une approche efficace et pratique pour résoudre les problèmes de planification de trajectoire. Le livre donne des détails sur les implémentations qui permettent une meilleure compréhension des complexités impliquées dans le développement d'algorithmes de planification de chemins parallèles. Le matériel présenté est de nature interdisciplinaire - il combine des thèmes de la robotique, des algorithmes génétiques et du traitement parallèle.
