From this standpoint we find a strong trend towards the use of the bio inspired systems.
In this work, we are interested in one of the bio-inspired algorithms called the BOA (butterfly
optimization algorithm) .Our work is study and analyze this algorithm by introducing the
inertia coefficient that takes fixed or dynamic values using specific formulas, it works to
ensure a balance between local search (exploitation) and global search (exploration). These
algorithms were tested on a set of benchmark functions, and the results showed the
effectiveness of improving these algorithms, by adding the inertia coefficient who gives to the
algorithm more efficiency in obtaining the global optimum and accelerating the velocity of
