Ant colony optimization, Genetic programming, Particle swarm optimization,
Genetic algorithm, all of these are bio-inspired algorithms that have been
used to solve several optimization problems. In this work we are interested on
Black widow optimization algorithm, which was inspired from the black spider’s
unique behaviour mating, we want to propose an enhanced black widow optimization
algorithm based on an opposite based initialization to improve the chance of
starting with appropriate individuals and increase the quality of the initial population,
a delay sexual cannibalism for the purpose of avoiding the loss of t fathers,
and an adaptive crossover and mutation probabilities to keep the balance between
exploration and exploitation. The results obtained after applying a set of tests using
