galvaniqueIndex. décimale : 530 Physique Résumé : Avant toute modélisation ou interprétation des données magnétotelluriques, il est primordial de faire
une analyse du tenseur d’impédance, afin de déterminer la géométrie de la structure géologique. Dans le
cas où la structure est 2-D, il est nécessaire de déterminer sa direction structurale ou ce qu’on appelle le
Strike. Pour effectuer cette analyse Plusieurs techniques sont proposées, dont les plus utilisées sont la
technique de Groom-Bailly (1989 et 1991) et la technique de Bahr (1988 et 1991).
Dans ce mémoire, nous avons appliqué une méthode de décomposition du tenseur d’impédance
bidimensionnel (MT), cette méthode repose sur l’estimation successive des résistivités apparentes et
phases de plusieurs sites de mesures à partir d’enregistrements de champs électrique et magnétique.
Ce travail comporte deux parties.
La première partie explique les étapes d’acquisition des données sur terrain et leur traitement, ceci
dit l’extraction dans le domaine fréquentiel du tenseur d’impédance à partir des données réelles acquises
sur terrain, principalement les séries temporelles des cinq (5) composantes magnétotelluriques, ensuite
l’édition qui est la correction des valeurs de résistivité apparente et de phase, en dernier la réalisation des
courbes des paramètres édités sus citées avant et après l’application de la décomposition de GROOM
BAILEY ainsi que les courbes des paramètres de la distorsion galvanique sans oublier le Strike qui
correspond à la direction structurale d’une structure bidimensionnelle.
La seconde partie intéresse l’analyse des données, à partir des graphes de la première partie dans une
échelle de fréquences bien déterminée.
L’objectif de ce travail est d’enlever l’effet des hétérogénéités superficielles et avoir la résistivité
apparente et la phase qui correspond à la structure régionale.Note de contenu : Sommaire
