Les études théoriques des propriétés électroniques, optiques, diélectriques et élastiques
de l‟alliage ternaire YxIn1-xN dans la structure zinc blende ont été étudiées en utilisant la
méthode empirique des pseudo potentiels couplée a l‟approximation du cristal virtuel. Toutes
les propriétés ont été examinées en fonction de la concentration x du Yttrium Y allant de 0
a1.Les principaux résultats de notre investigation se résument ainsi :
 l‟incorporation d‟une quantité de Y dans l‟InN perturbe leurs structures électroniques.
Toutes les bandes de valence et de conduction sont affectées. Ces premières semblent
plus perturbées par la présence de Yttrium que les bandes de conduction.
 Pour ce qui est de l‟étude électronique, tous les composés de l‟alliage YxIn1-xN
possèdent un gap d'énergie direct au point de haute symétrie Γ qui correspond à des
transitions directes entre le maximum de la bande de valence et le minimum de la
bande de conduction.
 le gap énergétique directe E(Γ-Γ) augmente non-linéairement lorsque la concentration
du Y augmente.
 l‟indice de réfraction a été calculé selon cinq modèles existant. La variation de l‟indice
de réfraction en fonction de la composition x pour l‟alliage semi-conducteur ternaire
YxIn1-xN a montré une diminution de ce dernier en allant de 0 à 1.
 la constante diélectrique de haute fréquence diminue lorsqu‟on augmente la
concentration du Y suggérant ainsi que le matériau étudié devient un bon isolant.
 la constante diélectrique statique diminue lorsque la concentration du Y augmente.
Cela indique que la capacité de stocker de l‟énergie électrique potentielle sous
l‟influence d‟un champ électrique diminue.
 Les propriétés mécaniques a savoir les constantes élastiquesC11, C12 , C44 , le module
de compressibilité et le module de cisaillement ont été calcules pour l`alliage ternaire,
ce qui a permis d`analyser le comportement mécanique de ces matériaux.
Les calculs ont été essentiellement bases sur l‟E.P.M. En générale, nos résultats sont en
accord raisonnable avec les ressources disponibles des données expérimentales et théoriques.
Pour les quantités physiques des matériaux d'intérêt lorsque les données ne sont pas
disponibles dans la littérature, nos résultats sont des prévisions et peuvent servir de références
