The goal is to validate different parameterizations of theoretical models and to extrapolate theoretical calculations to cases that are experimentally inaccessible. The excitation functions of (p,n) reactions were systematically studied for nuclei with mass numbers between 37 and 209 at incident energies around 7.5 and 12.4 MeV. The results of these studies are compared to experimental data from the EXFOR library and to calculations performed with TALYS1.96. The nuclear reaction models used include the statistical evaporation model and the pre-equilibrium model.
