First, we collected tweets in modern standard Arabic from Twitter and then passed it through the pre-processing phase. Our second objective is to develop a semantic role and emotion annotation tool based on the FrameNet semantic lexical database. The transcription of the annotations is done according to the XML format in order to give a large portability to our corpus and to these annotations. This work represents a good basis for further work on sentiment analysis of Arabic texts.
