FANET networks are extremely important in today’s environment. This is a very
intriguing field for many research and industry companies. FANET is unmanned aerial
(UAVs) vehicle-based ad-hoc network that can be classified as a new type of MANET
(Mobile Ad-hoc Network).
Routing is a way of sending data via a data connection network to the correct destination.
It entails implementing a method that ensures the construction of proper and
efficient linkages between any pair of network nodes at all times. Bio-inspired algorithms,
which are based on the structure and function of complex natural systems, tend to handle
issues in an adaptive and dispersed manner. The nature of these remarkable phenomenon
phenomena provides us with solutions to difficult problems like the routing dilemma(There
is a routing issue).
Our contributions to this work intended to create novel bio-inspired strategies for
solving the routing problem in FANET networks. We propose a routing protocol based
on the cuckoo search metaheuristic for this purpose.
The results reveal that our CS AODV protocol outperforms the AODV protocol in terms
