Depuis plus de 250 ans, les équations différentielles partielles ont été clairement l 'outil le plus important à la disposition de l' humanité pour comprendre une grande variété de phénomènes, naturels d 'abord et ensuite ceux qui proviennent de l' activité humaine et du développement technologique.
