Nous avons élaboré des nanofils de silicium par gravure chimique assistée par un métal. Les différents paramètres expérimentaux influençant le processus d’élaboration tels que : la température de gravure, la résistivité des substrats utilisés ainsi que les défauts cristallins introduits par implantation ionique, ont été étudiés. En plus,, nous avons étudié la morphologie et les propriétés optiques de nanofils de silicium, décorés par des nanoparticules métalliques, obtenus par la méthode chimique de dépôt. Ensuite,des propriétés photocatalytiques de nanofils de silicium cristallin hydrogénés, de nanofils de silicium décorés par des nanoparticules métalliques ainsi que des nanofils de silicium décorés par des nanoparticules métalliques avec un dépôt de graphène réduit en surface. Nous avons constaté que les nanofils de silicium décorés avec des nanoparticules de cuivre (SiNFs/CuNPs) sont plus efficaces pour la réduction photocatalytique de l’oxyde de graphène que les nanofils de silicium hydrogénés (SiNFs-H) et les nanofils de silicium décorés par des nanoparticules d'argent (SiNFs/AgNPs). Nous avons ensuite examiné l’activité photo-catalytique des substrats de nanofils pour la réduction de Cr(VI) sous irradiation visible. Nous avons observé que l’’utilisation de nanofils de silicium hydrogénés (SiNFs- H) seuls n'était pas suffisante pour la réduction de chrome (VI) sous irradiation visible. L’ajout d’acides organiques permet la réduction de Cr(VI) sous irradiation de lumière visible. Des SiNFs décorés par des nanoparticules de cuivre permettent la réduction de Cr(VI) en Cr (III) sous irradiation visible sans additifs Tandis que pour la photodégradation de la rhodamine B, les nanofils de silicium hydrogénés sont plus efficaces sous irradiation visible à condition qu’ils soient désoxydés après 90 min d’irradiation.
