Itö a été publié en août 1969 sous le numéro 16 de la série Notes de cours de l'Institut de mathématiques de l'Université d'Aarhus. Elle est basée sur des conférences données à cet institut au cours de l'année académique 1968-1969. cm., reproduit à partir d’un manuscrit dactylographié et épuisé depuis de nombreuses années. Depuis sa parution, il a servi, pour ceux-ci, à obtenir l’un des relativement rares exemplaires disponibles, en tant qu’introduction très lisible des éléments de base des théories des processus additifs (processus à incréments indépendants) et des processus de Markov. Il contient notamment un exposé clair et détaillé de la décomposition de Lévy-It ö des processus additifs. Encouragé par le professeur It - nous avons édité le volume sous la forme du présent livre, en modifiant le texte à plusieurs endroits et en joignant de nombreuses notes de bas de page. Nous avons également préparé un index. Le chapitre 0 est pour les préliminaires. Ici, les sommes centralisées de variables indépendantes indépendantes sont traitées en utilisant la dispersion comme élément principal. On donne la forme de Lévy de fonctions caractéristiques de distributions infiniment divisibles et de liens propres aux martingales. Le chapitre 1 est une analyse des processus additifs. Structure fondamentale, l'orem décrit la décomposition d'échantillons de fonctions de processus additifs, connue aujourd'hui sous le nom de décomposition de Lévy-Itó. Ceci est traité minutieusement, comme ne représentant aucune propriété de continuité dans le temps, sous une forme proche du papier original de Ito de 1942, qui donnait une expression rigoureuse à la compréhension intuitive de Lévy du comportement de chemin.
