Titre : Anticoagulant and antithrombotic activities of Anabasis articulata decoction Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Maria Ikhlef, Auteur ; Khaoula Harmili, Auteur ; Amel Bouaziz., Directeur de thèse Editeur : Sétif : Faculté des Sciences de la Nature et de la Vie Année de publication : 2024 Importance : 37 Feuilles ISBN/ISSN/EAN : MS/2040 Langues : Anglais Catégories : Thèse et mémoire:Master:Physiologie cellulaire et physiopathologie Mots-clés : Anabasis articulata Aqueous extract Anticoagulant activity Thrombosis Prothrombin time. Résumé :
This study aims to evaluate the anticoagulant and the antithrombotic activities of the aqueous extract of Anabasis articulata obtained from M’sila, Algeria. It is a desert plant belonging to the Chenopodiaceae family which is widely used in folk medicine for its valuable medicinal properties. The anticoagulant and antithrombotic activities of Anabasis articulata aqueous extract were evaluated compared with the negative control H2O and the positive control citrate on clotting time, thrombolytic activity, prothrombin time in different concentrations. The results of clotting time showed that Anabasis articulata significantly prolonged the clotting time at concentrations of 10, 20, and 50 mg/ml to 10.33±0.57 and 10.16±0.28 and 5.66±2.8 min, respctively. For the thrombolytic activity test , the results showed that the concentration of 50 mg/ml showed a stronger thrombolytic activity compared to the concentrations of 20 and 10 mg/ml with values of 35.58±0.69 and 8.93 ± 0.91 and 7.81 ± 1.81%, respectively. In thromboplasin time test, Anabasis articulata aqueous extract showed that the concentration of 50 mg/ml has good thromboplasin time of 5.73±0.92min. From these results, we conclude that Anabasis articulata extract possesses anticoagulant and antithrombotic activities because it contains biologically active compounds that can be exploited in the treatment of blood clotting disorders.Anticoagulant and antithrombotic activities of Anabasis articulata decoction [document électronique] / Maria Ikhlef, Auteur ; Khaoula Harmili, Auteur ; Amel Bouaziz., Directeur de thèse . - Sétif : Faculté des Sciences de la Nature et de la Vie, 2024 . - 37 Feuilles.
