Résumé : |
The present study was conducted at the laboratories of Parasitology Department, Faculty of Natural Sciences and life, University of Setif during the year 2023 to indicate the effect of mithanolic and aqueous extracts of Zingiber officinale and Matricaria chamomilla in paralysis and die of Enterobius vermicularis eggs in vitro and determine the most influential plants. The result were as follows: the mortality was observed 90% to 100% in concentrations 7,5mg/ml and 10 mg/ml, respectively within 72 -120 hours. No mortality was observed when the Enterobius vermicularis eggs were control but they (eggs) were weakened (their movement was sluggish). The result showed that mortality was significant (P<0.05) as concentrations increased from 2,5-10 mg/ml but mortality was not significant as duration of exposure increased from 48 -120 hours. The result showed that LC50 and LT50 of Zingiber officinale and Matricaria chamomilla mithanolic extract, with 1,24 mg/ml and 52,93 hours ; 0,58 mg/ml and 55,65 hours while Zingiber officinale and Matricaria chamomilla aqueous extract wer 0,63 mg/ml and 78,68hours ; 0,69 mg/ml and 82,14 hours. The results revealed that all the plant species had lethal effects against the Enterobius vermicularis eggs as compared with the untreated check andthe showed that plant extracts used for this study could be promising nematocide especially. |
