Résumé : |
Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a type of antibody that is a glycoprotein. It plays a key role in the immune response . In this study, IgG was purified using two different methods: precipitation with ammonium sulfate and sodium sulfate, aiming to determine the optimal method for achieving better purification and removing impurities and other proteins for accurate protein study and function understanding. After collecting serum from rats, both ammonium sulfate and sodium sulfate were added. Following precipitation, protein concentrations were measured using spectrophotometric analysis at a wavelength of 540 nanometers. The results showed significant and varying concentrations. To ensure the purity of IgG, SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) was employed. Its results indicated the presence of IgG with other proteins, demonstrating incomplete purity. This suggests that both methods need further development to achieve good purity for IgG. |
