Résumé : |
The study on Bunium incrassatum extracts revealed varied yields and phytochemical compositions. Aqueous extraction of heated tubers yielded the highest at 24.48%, followed closely by non-heated tubers at 22.40%. Aqueous extracts from the cortex and aerial parts had lower yields (14.22% to 19.20%), while ethanolic extracts generally yielded less (10.38% to 22.3%). In terms of phytochemical content, non-heated aerial parts exhibited the highest total phenolics (0.471 mg GAE/g) and flavonoids (2.440 mg QE/g). Ethanolic extracts from the cortex showed notable flavonoid content (1.577 mg QE/g). Antioxidant activity, assessed via DPPH assay, was highest in aqueous extracts from heated and non-heated cortex (1.65 mg GAE/100g DM and 1.657 mg GAE/100g DM, respectively) and ethanolic tubers (1.245 mg GAE/100g DM). Overall, the study highlights the potential of Bunium incrassatum extracts, particularly from aerial parts and cortex, as rich sources of antioxidants with significant health benefits. |
