Joint Time-frequency representations are powerful tool for nonstationary signals analysis frequently encountered in practice. They map a one-dimensional signal, function of time, to a bi-dimensional function of time and frequency. The Development of new timefrequency representations as well as their application to signals analysis constitute an active research field in signal processing. The contribution of this research work concerns the theoretical development as well as the application of time-frequency analysis methods. The application aspect, concerns the problem of detection of electromagnetic interferences and identification of disturbance source lines in printed circuit boards (PCB). The theoretical aspect concerns the development of a parametric time-frequency distribution based on a bilateral time-varying autoregressive model. This model is proposed as an alternative to improve the performances of the conventional unilateral autoregressive model. The time-varying parameters of the bilateral autoregressive model are modeled as a linear combination of a known set of time functions basis and, therefore, the recursive least squares algorithm is used to estimate the coefficients involved in the linear combination. |
