Vibration control is a large area of interest either in all sections of industry or in research. One way to control the vibration of dynamic systems is by using piezoelectric materials (PZT's). PZT's have been used to reduce vibration in both active and passive control systems and that is due to their special characteristics. In this work, the effect and the modeling of the PZT actuator location on controlling the vibrations is studied .Tow models are used and developed in this study: mechanic model is based on positioning mechanism (PM) and mathematic model’s is based on the free energy theory of Landau Devonshire, for used as controllers and damping of the vibrations. In order to design, the positioning mechanism and the actuators (PEAs) is developed and described the linear hysteretic behavior by a differential equation of the mechanic system’s (mass, spring, damping). The second model is developed by the free energy theory of Landau Devonshire, and described the non-linear hysteretic behavior. Well known disadvantages of PEAs are the fact that they show the non-linear hysteretic behavior and lengthening saturation. The non-linear hysteretic characteristic of piezoelectric actuators makes precise position control very difficult. In this disadvantage, we add a PID controller for linearized the hysteretic behavior. These two models, used as a controller for reduce the vibration in flexible beam structure. |
