“Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed..." This principle also applies to water: the source of life, a precious resource but difficult to access, which can also be a source of death if not properly managed. The search for effective wastewater management strategies continues and never stops due to the importance of ensuring safe environment for all organisms. Wastewater treatment is becoming a more critical topic due to diminishing water resources, increasing cost of disposing wastewater and also stricter measures and legislations set by environmental protection agencies regarding the permissible contaminant levels of effluent disposal into water bodies. Wastewater is significant as it comes in large volumes due to the level of usage by residential areas and industries. This thesis gives an insight into the various stages, methods and technologies used in treatment of wastewater. The main objective of this study was to choose an efficient water treatment system. It discusses how the sewage system works, its components and functions, and how to improve it.New waste water treatments [texte imprimé] / Mounir Mansouri, Auteur ; Seif Eddine Boudoukha, Auteur ; Khenchouche Abdelhalim, Directeur de thèse . - Setif, Algerie : Faculté des sciences de la nature et de la vie, 2023.
