Résumé :
An ethnobotanical investigation on the treatment of "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome" was carried out in the region of Setif and Ain Oulmene. It was done with the aim of gathering all the information regarding the therapeutic uses practiced by women in the study area through a questionnaire conducted on 136 individuals (Herbalists and women) during the months of April and May 2024. In light of the results obtained, 13 species belonging to 7 botanical families were identified, with the most represented being Atriplex halimus (47.7%), Salvia officinalis (26.4%), and Origanum marjorana (22%). This study identified the most effective medicinal plants used to treat "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome". It could serve as a database for future research in the field of phytotherapy, especially in Algeria where the use of medicinal plants is widespread. Further phytochemical and pharmacological studies are necessary to assess their effectiveness against "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome".Ethnobotanical survey on the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome [document électronique] / Amina Brika, Auteur ; Samar Bouchair, Auteur ; Nihed Barghout, Directeur de thèse . - Sétif : Faculté des Sciences de la Nature et de la Vie, 2024 . - 50 Feuilles.
